We will also provide Confidential Parent/Guardian Wellbeing & Safety Contest form. This form is to be completed, signed by parent or guardian and returned to NOVA KIDS by email, mail or handled to our office in person:
- at least 2 days PRIOR course start date IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY SPECIAL CONDITION
or
- on the FIRST DAY OF THE COURSE in case your child has NO SPECIAL CONDITION, ALLERGIES and NOT ON MEDICATION. Form should be provided to the Course Administrator that will sign your child in.
It will also include COURSE GUIDE with information on what to expect during the course, where to go and what to bring.
When registration for the course close?
Registrations usually close prior course is started or earlier if all placements are booked. We reflect registration status for each course on our website or provide it over the phone.
What if my child has a learning difficulty?
Please, call NOVA KIDS on:08 7122 3270 to discuss your child's placement prior registering. As experienced pedagogs we wouldn't claim that "we catter for all learning abilities" because it would simply not true.
At NOVA we aim to provide: CHILD WELLBEING and QUALITY EDUCATION.
Depending on your child's situation we may be able to organise tailored program that would benefit your child at no additional cost.
What computer skills does my child need?
At every course we go through the basics for all beginners. We also have the flexibility to move students to either advanced or junior classes so they are surrounded with like-minded students at similar skill/knowledge level. We also have support in the larger classes to ensure that all students get the necessary help if required.
Who is teaching my child?
All teachers at NOVA are REGISTERED WITH SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TEACHERS BOARD. Majority of our teachers are having prior background as school, college or university lecturers in their specialised fields and expert level industry knowledge.
Teachers are required to have working with children experience, related certification and completed accredited NOVA KIDS training at Diploma Level.
Unlike other providers we DON'T HIRE Graphics/Multimedia STUDENTS or GRADUATES to teach on our venues.
What do we need to bring?
Please provide your own morning, lunch, afternoon teas and a drink for your child/ren. Your child/ren are welcome to bring along activities for the breakshowever, this is at their own risk. At NOVA KIDS we provide board games during breaks. We also offer playground facilities for outdoor recreation on breaks.
Please have your child bring a USB memory stick so they can save work to take home.
Please, note: We have "NUT FREE" and "NOT HAT - NO PLAY" (on sunny days) policies at NOVA KIDS.
What happens on breaks and lunchtimes?
As majority of our courses are working with computers we ensure the students have regular breaks throughout the day including outdoor play. Children are supervised at all times. Board Games that are available at NOVA KIDS relaxation room.
Where to go on the first day?
We provide complete information with our confirmations. We also provide directions for every venue.
Family / group discounts
Yes, we offer sibling and group discounts for bookings made at the same time. Family enrolling siblings is getting 20%* discount for 2nd child's fee and 40%* discount for 3rd child fee.
Please, contact us for more information regarding group discounts.
If you are paying online and eligible for discount, we will refund discounted money to you same day payment made.
* - discount is given on cheaper course fee.
Can my child sit together with their friend or sibling?
NOVA KIDS run number of venues at the same time troughout Adelaide. Depending on time of registration, placement ability, age group etc. children are allocated to particular venue. Your Child's Group details are provided in a final confirmation letter 1 week prior course start.
If you wish to ensure your child is attending the same class as their sibling and/or friend then please specifically request this to office either via phone or email at the time of booking. We aim to allocate children to the same venue/class upon request.
NOVA KIDS cancellation policy
If cancellation is made up to 7 days before the start date then a full refund (less a $40 admin fee) will be made. If it is within 7 days of the start date then no refund will be made. No refund will be made for any missed course days. |
